Brittany plays Runner on Election Night

High school gal-pal Brittany Petersen, in her senior year at Northwestern's Medill School, was a media runner for ABC down in Grant Park on Election night. She snapped some great shots from her particular vantage point I thought you might be interested in. Here they are.

Oprah Winfrey and Gayle!

The crowd on Election Night, from behind the main press riser.

Britt with the stage on which Obama gave his victory speech about 9 hours after this photo was taken. (Still testing Robin Roberts' mic.)

The main press riser directly facing the stage.

With her ABC News/Obama campaign press passes. One of them said "Network TV," the other said "Floor" which she only had temporarily in order to test out the mics that the ABC correspondents would be using on the night of. The sign around her neck says "Robin Roberts," which is the correspondent whose mic she was about to test out.

That's Jesse Jackson on the phone. He high-fived Brit for being so awake and cheery at 4 am.

A very fuzzy picture of the next first family & the Bidens after the speech.

Press & people circus.

From behind the platforms & main riser, toward the stage.

The Network TV platforms, all lit up.

I am so jealous of the both of you, though I think you'd be proud of the crowds and love everyone felt on Capital Hill in Seattle.
